2022 Best Global Universities in Africa: Knust Ranked as the Best University In Ghana

The USNews and World Report have issued 2022 official rankings of African universities. Universities were ranked numerically based on their placements in the overall Best Global Universities rankings, according to US News. Each institution was rated by members of the academic community throughout the world and in the area based on its research performance and ratings. These are Africa’s best international universities.

Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, KNUST is ranked 587 globally and 12 on the African continent, with a global score of 49.9. The university is ranked 484th in the world in Social Sciences and Public Health, with a score of 31.1, and 277 in Clinical Medicine, with a score of 56.2. This automatically ranks Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology,KNUST as the best university in Ghana.

The University of Ghana legon, which is ranked 916th in the world, performed better in Social Sciences and Public Health than KNUST, which is ranked 326. However, in the field of Clinical Medicine, the University of Ghana is ranked 566th in the world. As a result, KNUST is clearly a better option for Clinical Medicine than the University of Ghana. Sadly, the University of Cape Coast is not included in the rankings.

The University of Cape Town in the South was ranked #1 in the best university in Africa and placed #109 in Best Global Universities.
