CoHSS – Knust Won Over All Other Colleges In K.A Andam Memorial Inter-collegiate Debate Tournament

In the early hours of yesterday, the 2nd of April, 2022, the grand finale of the annual K. A Andam Memorial Inter- Collegiate debate tournament was held at the GRASAG Conference room of which the largest College on campus, CoHSS – KNUST under the leadership of D. Richard Kovor who is famously known as Dr. K?? was adjudged the Best College in West Africa following a Debate Victory over all other 5 Colleges on Campus.

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences joined the tournament from the initial stages and has been making giant strides till finding herself in the finals with the College of Science and finally carried the day.

It The K. A Andam Memorial Inter-Collegiate debate started on March 25, 2022, with three teams from each College. The debate intensified in the quarter and semi-finals as the three conflicting Colleges, CoHSS, CoE, and CoS had strong teams that sprung up to the occasion with an awesome display of their debate skills.

However, at the finals yesterday, April 2, 2022, the gods were separated from the legends as Sir Lord Oppong, Benchog Phewby and Samuel Baah, all members of CoHSS team A in an intellectual argument took the crowd aback to become winners of the 2022 K.A Andam Memorial Debate Tournament over CoE team B and CoS team A who led the table of the tournament from day one.

Master Richard Kovor, the President of the CoHSS – KNUST, with his Chief of Staff and other executives of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences were there to grace the occasion and also appreciated the entire COHSS TEAM, the participants, judges and trainers for bringing this giant glory and achievement to CoHSS – KNUST.

The President further Congratulates all the Colleges involved in the tournament and wishes them the very best of luck in their future endeavours. He acknowledged the organizers of the tournament and the entire Leadership of the Knust Debate Society.
