On the 5th of June, 2021, Miss Comfort Awuah and her comrades embarked on a journey in the streets of Kumasi to undertake a humanitarian activity acting as the hands of the Smile Forever Foundation.
The Smile Forever Foundation is an NGO which seeks to help those in need and leave smiles on the faces of these unprevilaged people particularly street children as they find it difficult to make ends meet in this era of Covid 19.
On that fateful day, the members of the foundation including Miss Comfort Awuah, who is a very active member, began their journey from Tech Junction to Ahodwo putting smiles on the faces of these poor children. Miss Awuah, with her favorite quote ‘Service to God and Humanity’ in her heart, led her group as they worked and moved tirelessly from one place to the other.
With the urge to give and commit themselves to helping the society in this crucial period, by the end of the day, they succeeded in helping five hundred (500) street children.
They helped street children who faced problems from the unavailability of clothes to feeding. They donated money and gave parcels to those who even the sick to help them pay for their medical bills. In their ears, this foundation heard a cry for help and rushed to the rescue. In the eyes of these unfortunate souls were indeed tears of joy and smiles and chuckles of happiness stuck on their faces.
The Smile Forever Foundation is here to serve and their aim is to turn those frowns upside down.
