2022/2023 Environmental Science Knust Admission Requirement; Environmental Science is an interdisciplinary programme that combines the physical, biological and information sciences, which include ecology, biology, physics, chemistry, plant science, geology, zoology, etc. In the world, there is a rising need for scientists who study and understand how the Earth and its systems function and how they correlate with human activities as the Earth continues to progress in a downward spiral. The Environmental Science knust programme aims at broadening the scope of the natural sciences including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, etc with regards to the environment and its supporting systems.

Here in KNUST, the Environmental Science programme offers a four-year undergraduate course leading to the BSc. (Honours) Degree in Environmental Science.
Entry Requirements
WASSCE/SSSCE Applicants
Credits in WASSCE/SSSCE Core Subjects(English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science), plus THREE (3) Electives in Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Elective Mathematics.
A/O Level Applicants
FIVE(5) credits at O Level including Mathematics and English Language plus THREE (3) A Level passes in any of the following subjects: Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Zoology or Botany and Mathematics.
Mature Applicants
Applicants must have attained the age of 25 years at the time of submitting the application forms. The applicant must either possess:
FIVE(5) credits at O’Level including English Language and Mathematics.
OR
FIVE (5) credits at the O’Level and experience in Meteorological applications.
OR
Credits in WASSCE/SSSCE Core Subjects plus THREE Elective Subjects in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Elective Mathematics.
