The uproar during the general screening of the SRC Presidential Aspirants has been critiqued through the lens of several and diverse opinions, hours after the said occurrence reached the ears of all and sundry. Many have cast blames, refuted, and accused others of being the cause of the misunderstanding.
Ameyaw Sabrina, the current Local-NUGS President of KNUST also joins in the expression of views. She gives an objective viewpoint and says it’s about time the mode of screening for SRC elections took a different turn. She encourages media houses and students in being careful of the kind of news they share. Protecting image and reputation of the school is our core duty and even though we hold diverse electoral positions, the school’s image should never be taken for granted. This is evident in her concern.
In a way, she reminds students about what happened a few years ago which affected us in unusual ways, and in her words, we can’t permit another misfortune to happen again.
KNUST is what we have at the moment and we need to fight to hold it in high esteem, despite our differences.Follow us on Twitter , Instagram, Facebook
