KNUST Ranks Number 1 Best University in the World in 2023

KNUST Ranks Number 1 Best University in the World. The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi ranks best University in the World for the provision of Quality Education (SDG 4). This was announced in the 2023 Times Higher Education Impact Ranking published on Thursday, 1st June 2023.

The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings are the only global performance tables that assess universities against the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). THE uses carefully calibrated indicators to provide comprehensive and balanced comparison across four broad areas: research, stewardship, outreach, and teaching. The 2023 Impact Rankings is the fifth edition, and the overall ranking includes 1,591 universities from 112 countries/regions.

SDG 4: QUALITY EDUCATION

The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi leads the table by placing 1ST GLOBALLY with a score of 93.1 to top all Universities in the World in terms of quality education. KNUST beat 1303 out of the 1304 universities that fell within this category in the World. The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, thus, becomes the NO.1 destination for quality education globally.

The SDG 4 – Quality Education category measures universities’ contribution to early years, lifelong learning, research, and commitment to inclusive education. This year, 1,304 universities from 109 countries/regions participated in the SDG 4 category.
