The past few weeks has been filled with anticipations of the recent SRC Presidential, Secretarial and Financial elections, which consisted of online polls, endorsements and a few brouhahas here and there.
On Thursday, 5th of August 2021, what can be said as one of the most important activities on KNUST was finally conducted.
At the appointed time, the President-elect and the winners of other portfolios were announced which generated calmness for a while.
However, DSK, an SRC Presidential aspirant does not agree with the coalition of the results. In his view, he thinks there has been a sort of electoral malpractice and the results were void and held no power. Together with his counsel, there were several things that he highlighted which he thinks should be cross-checked.
He also seeks that an order of perpetual injunction restraining the President-elect, Micheal Abuah from holding himself as the SRC President should be ratified.
The matter is to be heard at 9am today, 10th of August at the KNUST Law Faculty. The recent strike from the University Teachers Association, Ghana (UTAG) and this, seems to make the university more and more interesting. Let’s see how it unfolds.
