Mathias Charles Yabe, a 3rd Year Student at KNUST, who is also a Communication Design Student, has won the 2021 Fishbowl Challenge.
Master Charles, a member of Enactus KNUST, together with his team from India and Finland won the 2021 Fishbowl Challenge (a global business competition for students to collaborate and solve complex issues) securing a seed capital of $25000.
The capital is to be used to start and grow their budding social enterprise, ‘Akofresh’ – a Green Cold Chain Enterprise offering farmers practical and affordable preservation services to put an end to post-harvest losses with Ghana as a pilot country.
The award-winning bud comes after 6 months of hard work and global collaboration.
The journey began with over 1000 applicants from 90 countries and different universities all over the world including Havard, Ashesi, and most African Universities.
The Fishbowl Challenge is a global entrepreneurship competition that brings college students from around the world together to solve the world’s most complex social and environmental problems.
Their different cultural, social, and geographic insights will enable new solutions and ways of working together, providing a unique model for global collaboration and problem-solving with a startup grant of up to $50,000.
