On behalf of the Chancellor, His Majesty Otumfuor Osei Tutu II, and the entire Management, I warmly welcome you to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, (KNUST), Kumasi, the Best University in Ghana and the 12th Best on the African Continent.
Marking its 70th anniversary, the University has seen immense growth in all aspects. The University can now boast of a student population of about 85,000 comprising undergraduate and postgraduate students from all over the globe. The University offers market-driven programmes of study and provides entrepreneurial training ranging from Art, Social Sciences, Science, Health Sciences, Engineering and Technology.
Together, we will continue to deploy our strengths and strategic initiatives to enable our cherished faculty and staff to continue to embark on relevant research and activities, that would not only imbibe in our students the requisite skills for the transformation and socio-economic development of Ghana, but also enhance the international visibility of our noble institution.
KNUST stands for relevant research, quality teaching, entrepreneurship training and provision of service to all our stakeholders with or without COVID-19. This is a charge we will continue to keep without complacency. We will maintain our focus as Leaders in Change in the training of highly skilled 21st century entrepreneurial graduates for social, economic and technological advancements.
