SRC Vetting Should be Completely Scrapped - KNUST Management

Frank Owusu AND Comfort Awuah Elected As the New KNUST SRC President and Secretary respectively. Frank Owusu, a student in Level 300 Economics at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, has been chosen by his peers to lead the SRC for the academic year 2022–2023.

With this victory, Frank Owusu will succeed Michael Abuah. Frank Owusu faced off against four candidates in the presidential race and received a total of 8514 votes representing 53.84%.

Frank Owusu announced his intention to run for president last year but fell short against Michael Abuah. Frank Owusu will now be under pressure to keep his lofty commitments to KNUST students, notably in the area of off-campus security.

Congratulations to Frank Owusu and the first female Vice President-Elect, Deborah Afia Boakye.

Congratulations to Comfort Awuah, another candidate who contested last year and lost. Comfort Awuah won with total vote of 10,286 representing 65.04% to become the KNUST SRC General Secretary-Elect.

Master Justice Anane Gyamfi is currently the Financial Secretary-Elect. He won with a total vote of 4,526.

Lastly, Maud Asare ,the newly elected KNUST SRC WOCOM won with a total of 1,675 votes.
